Johan Gielen은 클럽씬이 최고조로 붐빌 때, 더욱 두각을 나타내는 아티스트이다. 그의 믹싱 스킬은 가히 최고라 칭할만 하며, 언제나 한치의 오차도 없이 정확한 타이밍에 플레잉을 한다. 네덜란드 DJ, Johan Gielen은 손꼽히는 hard working DJ로서, 10년이 넘도록 지금까지 꾸준한 실력을 자랑하고 있다.

댄스뮤직을 즐기는 네덜란드 사람들 중에 Johan Gielen을 모르는 사람은 없을 정도로 그는 유명하다. 트랜스 음악을 좋아하는 외국인이 그의 음악을 듣는다면, 벨기에 출신 네덜란드 DJ 특유의 리믹싱은 태어나서 처음 접해볼 것이다. Gielen은 이미 전세계 DJ랭킹의 상위권에 속해 있으며, 전세계를 걸쳐서 플레이하고 있다. 특히 일본에서 그는 값진 시기를 보냈는데, 도쿄에 있는 클럽 Velfarre에서 전속 DJ로서 디제잉을 하며 명성을 얻었다. 심지어 그는 이렇게 말하고 있다. "나는 디제잉을 위해서 전세계에 걸쳐서 36회도 넘게 플레이할 수 있다! 아무런 대가도 없이!"

Black Hole Recordings 에서 제작한 Gielen의 데뷔 앨범 ‘Tunes for You’는 실로 엄청나다. 첫번째 싱글곡인 “ Revelations, Right from my Heart” 은 뮤직 비디오를 통틀어 전세계 차트에 올랐으며, 두번째 싱글곡인 “Magnitude” 역시 엄청난 히트를 기록했다.

2009년 그는 Virtual Vault DJ인 Ben Huybregts와 함께 'The Dubguru'라고 불리는 프로젝트의 공동 작업을 시작하였으며 첫번째 싱글곡인 'U got to know' 는 이미 괄목할만한 차트 기록을 세웠다.
