국 내 최초 남성 일렉 듀오 ASTRO VOIZE (아스트로 보이즈) 는 2008년 여름 FREAKERZ파티를 통해 등장과 동시에 강남일대 클럽 DJ 들에게 깊은 인상을 주며 클럽씬에 깊게 자리 잡았다. 아스트로 보이즈라는 이름은 ‘우주의’라는 뜻을 가진 ‘ASTRO’와 발음과 스펠링에 따라 ’목소리’, ‘소년들’이라는 뜻으로 달리 해석되는 ‘VOIZE’를 합한 합성어로 ‘우주 소년들’ 또는 ‘우주의 목소리’라는 뜻이다.
중학교 시절부터 알고 지낸 이들은 좋아하는 음악 장르는 달랐지만 일렉트로 사운드에 빠진 후로는 줄곧 함께 해왔다. 마치 디제이 부스 위로 난입한 열광적인 클러버를 보는듯한 아스트로 보이즈의 파워풀한 공연은 그들의 메인 장르인Shut Up & Dance를 기반으로 하고 있으며 매번 세련된 NU DISCO/ELECTRO HOUSE 사운드로 클러버들과 하나 되어 파티분위기를 열광케 한다.
